A Pondering: A quick thought or random wondering
We have responsibility for the theology we hold.
Christian theology has not just been downloaded from some Divine database, it has been constructed, wrestled with, thought through and developed as followers of Jesus have engaged with the Scriptures, and sought to follow and live the teachings of the Crucified One.
If the fruit of our theology is death, if it puts us out of step with the Way of Love, and if what we believe does not allow us to live out of the Spirit of the Christ, than we have a moral obligation to re-examine it.
Does the way we are holding our theology need to change? Or do we need to re-examine the particular Tradition we are drawing from?
